Ginger Hill Adventure Lodge offers homey hospitality in a special part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's part Bluemont hikers' eco-lodge and part shaman nature retreat.
First and foremost, we are a hiking eco-lodge located next to the Appalachian Trail and close by numerous hiking, biking and kayaking opportunities. As with many rustic hiking lodges, you may encounter occasional muddy floors and paws, smoke from the stone fireplace, or barking from the lodge's two rescue dogs Bainbridge and Juneau. We especially welcome guests who are looking for real life mountain happenings such as these.
Located amongst the forest and at the intersection of two energetic ley lines, a thin veil surrounds Ginger Hill that allows for deep transcendental meditation and ongoing reflective insights. From time-to-time, the entire lodge is blocked out as we host retreats on various topics such as shamanism, meditation, yoga, Reiki, mysticism and finding your inner light for creative pursuits. Please join our Facebook page if you'd like information on how to participate in these retreats.
Most food at the lodge is organic with plenty of vegetarian options. We usually source eggs and honey from our neighbors' free ranging and happy chickens and bees.
